About Us

Our Parish was established in June 1969. Earlier it was part of St. Anthony’s Parish. At the time when the Parish first started there were about a 1000 families. The Parish had its beginnings from the three main areas, Mehmoodabad, Akhtar Colony and Azam Basti. Now spread to Manzoor Colony, Junejo Town, Masoom Shah, Defense View and Hazara Colony. First Parish Priest was Fr. Melchiades Weink from 1969- 70, followed by

Education has been one of the most important services offered by the Parish. Three Women Religious congregations joined the Parish efforts to educate the children, namely; FMCK’s, taking care of Mariam School, 1 to 5 in the morning’s and which was Mariam Bible Academy in the afternoon for those from 6th to 10th classes. This was started in Azam Town.


Good Shepherd Sister’s started a Nursery, and took care of St. Peter’s Elementary school in Akhtar Colony. Daughters of the Cross helped with St. Paul’s Elementary school in Azam Basti, Gali number 10. Since the beginning of the Parish, Pastoral teams have emphasized on faith formation of all the faithful. Catechists have been a great support to the Priests and the women Religious to form and prepare parishioners for various sacraments.

The Parish in its journey of over 50 years has seen and experienced tremendous growth.
